Acceobus

 Greater mobility

 

 AccèoBusis a minibus service implemented by Calvados County Council on

all regular Bus Verts routes.

 

It aims to provide transport on a regular or occasional basis for people whose disability prevents them from travelling on regular bus services.

Accèobus has become a door-to-door transport service, taking you from your home to the destination of your choice (except for intra-town travel in urban transport zones).

A high quality specialized transport service at Bus Verts fares, and there is even an annual season ticket available with all its benefits!

♦ How does it operate?

  • The Accèobus service is available from 7.30am - 7.30pm Monday to Friday and from 9am - 7.30pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays (except May 1st).
  • Simply book your transport with the Infoligne booking centre on 0810 214 214
  • Bookings are registered subject to what the service is able to offer.
  • Accèobus does not operate during bad weather.
  • Fares are identical to Bus Verts fares (the School Pass is not accepted)
  • Some routes do not operate on Sundays and public holidays.

 

♦ Terms of access

The Accèobus service is only for people:

  • who use a wheelchair
  • who have a European parking card or a 'GIC' or 'GIG' badge
  • who have a 'cécité étoile verte' or 'canne blanche' (registered blind) disability card.


The card must be shown to the driver before boarding the minibus.

Mandatory companions ('requires assistance or third person' written on the disability cards) must be able-bodied and capable of assisting the person with his/her disability. They travel free of charge.

When to book your Accèobus

  • The booking centre is open all year round from 7am - 8pm Monday to Saturday (except on public holidays).
  • Bookings are registered up to 6pm for all journeys.
  • You can also book in the morning (between 7am and 11.30am) for a same-day service (after 2pm).
  • You must book your Accèobus by 6pm on Saturday to travel on the following Monday morning.
